General Electric Preventative Maintenance Support in Hooksett, New Hampshire

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Training duties.

  • Operate motorized service vehicles to include forktrucks.

  • Performingrelated environmental, health, safety, maintenance, quality, continuousimprovement, and production-flow job duties to support plant machinery, equipment, andmanufacturing-related initiatives and programs.

  • Maintaining detailed job taskdocumentation, reports, and records.

For Roles Assigned to


  • Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on complicatedmachine equipment, including but not limited to changing and replenishing fluid depositories,replacing hoses and other fluid lines, changing filters, lubricating, cleaning machinery andperforming other associated preventative maintenance tasks.

  • Responsible for theapplication of Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and other safety-relatedrequirements.

  • Perform basic NC machine control commands to check machineperformance and download data for record retention.


  • Associate‚Äôs degree in a mechanical Maintenance-related field from an accredited collegewith a minimum of 6-months experience in performing related job duties; Or

  • High schooldiploma/GED with a minimum of 2-years of experience performing mechanical Maintenancerelatedduties; Or

  • Technical Certificate from an accredited educational institution with aminimum of 18-months of experience performing mechanical Maintenance-related duties.

  • Performing basic mathematical calculations.

  • Fork-truck license.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications such asMicrosoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Maximo, and/or web-based managementsystems.

  • Demonstrated ability in maintainingrelationships by recognizing needs and sensitivities of others, and cooperating and resolvingconflicts that inspire the Team in achieving objectives and deliverables.

  • Demonstratedability in receiving guidance and supervision, following work rules, safety practices, workprocedures; meeting deadlines; and punctuality and attendance standards.

  • Demonstrated use of precision measuring tools andequipment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in the operating functions of numerical controlequipment.

  • Demonstrated performance in mechanical machine, engine troubleshootingand repair.

  • Basic schematic and blueprint reading knowledge.

  • Working knowledgeof basic electrical/electronic systems.

  • Licensed electrician or equivalent.
