General Electric Manufacturing Process Planning in Hooksett, New Hampshire

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Providing manufacturing planning support by determining methods and process steps andequipment required to manufacture hardware.

  • Developing time standards in whichhardware is processed.

  • Preparing new or updating in-process manufacturing planningdocuments, router sheets, etc.,

  • Investigate and provide process improvement support tomanufacturing team.

  • Performing intermediate mathematicalcalculations.

  • Understanding use of various inspection-relatedtools/equipment.

  • Understanding/interpretation of mechanical, fabrication blueprints,sketches, engineering specifications, drawings, etc.

  • Trainingduties.

  • Performing related environmental, health, safety, maintenance, quality, continuousimprovement, and production-flow job duties to support plant machinery, equipment, andmanufacturing-related initiatives and programs.

  • Maintaining detailed job taskdocumentation, reports, and records.


  • Associate‚Äôs degree in a technical-related field from an accredited college with a minimumof 1-year of machine tool and equipment manufacturing technology; Or

  • High schooldiploma/GED with a minimum of 2-years of machine tool and equipment manufacturingtechnology; Or

  • Technical Certificate from an accredited educational institution with aminimum of 18-months of machine tool and equipment manufacturing technologyknowledge.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated knowledge in the operation of conventional and/or numerically controlledprecision manufacturing machine tools and equipment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge inreading and interpretation of mechanical, fabrication blueprints, mechanical blueprints,drawings/engineering specifications.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in the use of variousprecision gages, measuring tools and equipment such as, micrometers, dial calipers, heightgages, special fixturing, and coordinate measuring machines.

  • Experience in performingNSB Code : NSB Code :mathematical calculations to include decimals, ratios, and percentages.

  • Experience in thecreation/revision of methods processes/planning-related documents andprocedures.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word,Excel, PowerPoint and/or web-based.

  • Demonstrated use of oral and written communicationskills.

  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma fundamentals.

  • Demonstrated ability inmaintaining relationships by recognizing needs and sensitivities of others, and cooperating andresolving conflicts that inspire the Team in achieving objectives anddeliverables.

  • Demonstrated ability in receiving guidance and supervision, following workrules, safety practices, work procedures; meeting deadlines; and punctuality and attendancestandards.
