General Electric Hooksett Site Training Coordinator in Hooksett, New Hampshire

Job Description Summary

The Training Coordinator will work closely with the Lean team and HR staff to coordinate training for employee onboarding procedures, local training sessions - such as Hooksett Academy and Transformational Leadership Course (TLC), and manage the training database Covalent. They may also be responsible for teaching one or more training courses and involved in the development, design and reproduction of training materials.

Job Description

Training Coordinator will have the following duties and responsibilities

  • Create training schedules, track and create reports on outcomes of all training and maintain training records for the site

  • Own site orientation scheduling train new hires on company policies and procedures

  • Gather and evaluate information from employees and management on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training

  • Market training opportunities to employees and provide information on benefits to encourage participation

  • Inform employees on scheduled training and track their progress

  • Site ownership for Covalent – the site’s recordkeeping system to track employee training participation and progress

  • Recommend training materials and methods, order and maintain in-house training equipment and facilities and manage the budget set for training.

  • Coordinate skill or competency assessments or other specialized training or development programs for employees

  • Support for kaizen activities, lean team support, transformation times

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field; Or

  • Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree or Technical certificate from an accredited university or college in a related field

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
