Job Overview

This a challenging role that involves setting-up and operating fabrication-related tools/equipment such as assembly fixtures, orbital welder, forming, cutting, cleaning, brazing, and marking.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform basic mathematical calculations using precision gages/fixtures and inspection measuring equipment and interpreting fabrication blueprints, sketches, engineering specifications, and drawings to determine set-ups and operations necessary to complete job tasks.

• Assist in training.

• Perform related environmental, health, safety, maintenance, quality, continuous improvement and production-flow job duties to support plant machinery, equipment, and manufacturing-related initiatives and programs.

• Maintain detailed job task documentation, reports and records.

Requirements include:

• High School diploma with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a technical-related field i.e.,manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical engineering; OR

• Bachelor’s degree, Associates degree or technical certificate from an accredited university or college in a technically related field such as manufacturing, fabrication or mechanical engineering.

• Experience with manufacturing/fabrication/machine tool measuring equipment and gages.

• Ability to set-up and operate inspection tools and equipment and read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and/or engineering specifications.

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

• Pay is $26.03/hour with an additional $1.00/hour shift differential for 2nd shift.

Desirable qualifications:

• Lean Six Sigma fundamental and EH&S processes and procedures

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
