General Electric Site EHS Specialist in Home/Remote/Alternate, Thailand

Job Description Summary

This is site EHS specialist to support the Environmental Health & Safety program, initiatives influence safe work practices at the Digital Services Sites

Provide support and technical guidance to supervise, to ensure programs are effectively implemented and maintained

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work with the site operations lead implement EHS programs

  • Ensure continual compliance by all parties engaged on GE scope with the GE EHS requirements

  • To work closely and routinely report to the Operation & EHS lead on the site EHS requirements, concerns or issues

  • Conduct EHS audits and inspections and share outcome on positive and continuing non-conformance, hazards or unsafe acts or conditions identified.

  • Be part of the site operations lead & functional team to carry out job safety analysis and Strength of Defense Matrix

  • Support in providing clarification on EHS programs materials

  • Partner with Site Operations team to identify EHS risk reduction ideas and share EHS best practices to achieve business goal of ZERO harm.

  • Track & drive traction on actions for improvement, compliance calendar, concern reported, STOP works, ops metrics and other EHS requirements

  • Review and ensure all EHS records are properly maintained

  • Support or assist in the investigation, of all EHS events

  • Coordinate with site Operation & on the EHS campaigns or promotional programs and to conduct weekly EHS meetings

  • Coordinate with site operations on the required EHS trainings, PPE management

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Diploma or Engineering degree in occupational safety and health, engineering, or related technical degree

  • 5+ years EHS experience in a professional EHS role

  • preferably wind business experience (added advantage)

  • Familiarized with in-country regulatory EHS requirements

  • Knowledge of EHS management systems

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Experience in a project environment

  • High energy, self-starter

  • Strong knowledge of the EHS risk and management
