Job Description Summary
Customer facing staff responsible for winning business Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. Subject to The Heavy Duty Gas Turbine (HDGT) Commercial Operations Leader will report directly to the Commercial Leader for the Pole, aligned to the HDGT business line. Your primary role is to lead the commercial process in the pole and will touch every deal, from an underwriting/commercial process and financial pacing perspective.
We are looking for strategic thinker, with an analytical mind and a strong ability to influence a broad group of stakeholders. You will ensure the team works to standard processes with rigor so that underwriting and handover is successful in order to deliver quality projects to our customers.
Roles and Responsibilities
Owns commercial process in the pole for compliance and documentation of the commercial process while ensuring we meet customer deliverables.
Leads Review Table reviews and is an active participant/approver for the pole.
Uses Lean tools to consistently improve efficiency and effectiveness of commercial team.
Owns HDGT pole pacing and forecasting in coordination with the pole Sales Leader and commercial finance.
Support business pacing calls and ensures SFDC data accuracy.
Controllership of pole metrics (penetration/orders/tech selects/cash/CM).
Leads strategic planning for Blueprint, SII, and other critical business campaigns/initiatives in the pole.
Coordinates with Demand Management, GSC, and Manufacturing for appropriate material flow for project pipeline.
Incorporates best practices and lessons learned back into the commercial process, including feedback from Order-To-Remittance (OTR).
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
At least 8-10 years experience in a similar capacity, of which at least 5 years in commercial operations or tendering background within an EPC organisation
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Integrative team working style
Knowledge of Power Generation Business and related products, services and markets
Prior experience in financial and profitability analyses
Master's degree in Business Administration is preferred
In depth working knowledge of the commercial proposal and contracting process including tools (i.e., SFDC)
Proven excellent influencing facilitation and conflict management skills
