General Electric Installation Lead - Onshore Wind (m/f/d) in Home/Remote/Alternate, Portugal

Job Description Summary

Installation Lead while on site reports to project Site Manger and is a direct report to the EMEA SSA Installation Manager. Is responsible for execution of all installation activities and documentation processes EMEA /SSA Wind Installation Projects.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Organizational & technical leadership for the Installation group (self-implemented & contracted) during construction and finishing of WTG

  • Ensures all Quality Standards (GE internally & local requirements), including full documentation package (GE Box, JSBl) for Installation under the respectively latest revision and per GE processes

  • Cost effective, high quality project execution within the given timeframe & budget, responsible to manage Sub-Contractors extra- and downtime appearance

  • Coordination & implementation of Retrofits & RFR (Red flag review) items

  • Takes care of customer satisfaction & NPS (Net Promoter Score)

  • Adheres all GE EHS processes and rules, safety instructions given by (local) law and BG–regulations

  • Reporting & controlling of T&E (Time & Expenses) cost for the Installation Group on site, PAC case management & monitoring

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/completed professional education in mechanics-, or electro technology with proven work experience in the wind business, preferred in installation/service

  • Detailed experience and knowledge in leading (field) teams

  • Fluent in English both verbally and written

  • Proven leadership & motivation skills

  • Very good communication and negotiation skills

  • EHS Advocate; detailed knowledge about EHS & Safety regulations

  • Funded knowledge of MS Office and e-based tools

  • Funded knowledge and experience in Quality Processes

  • Good knowledge in reporting and documentation

  • Quality awareness and ability to convince site team for same attitude

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Detailed experience and knowledge in managing complex construction sites

  • Analytic skills regarding technical tasks and processes

  • Ability and willingness to travel for at 80% of the time

  • Ability to mentor and train new Installation leads

  • Knowledge of German and/or Spanish will be a plus.
