General Electric Planned Maintenance Field Specialist in Home/Remote/Alternate, New York

The Planned Maintenance Field Specialist reports to the Planned Maintenance Manager. The planned maintenance field specialist will work with the field teams as well as the field operations team to share maintenance best practices, support in the standardization of planned maintenance and drive productivity into the planned maintenance process.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities :

As the Planned Maintenance Field Specialist, you will:

  • Develop and perform maintenance kickoff meetings with GE and ASP maintenance crews to drive standardization

  • Work with field teams to seek areas of improvement as related to the maintenance process

  • Support engineering programs as a field resource with regard to cost out and reliability

  • Perform spot check audits and partner with site quality coordinators to develop on site audit capabilities

  • Perform desktop spot audit process and give feedback to site and operations team on areas that need improvement

  • Support site start up around maintenance documentation, schedule and quality expectations

  • Support Planned Maintenance Manager in other key areas focused on leveraging best practices

Qualifications/Requirements :

  • Associate's Degree in Engineering, Business or related technical discipline from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 2 years of field services experience

  • ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Ability and willingness to support up to 50-70% travel

Desired Characteristics :

  • Fundamental technical understanding of wind turbines and maintenance practices / procedures

  • Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse and highly matrixed environment

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills

  • Prior wind field services experience

  • Strong analytics skills
