General Electric Staff Application Operations Engineer - Oracle Cloud RMCS in Home/Remote/Alternate, Mexico

This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining critical applications and related data processing platforms and services. Owns and is accountable for application and platform SLA's against operational commitments. Owns application security & compliance ensuring application & data integrity.

The ERP Fusion Cloud – RMCS operations/production support expert will provide solutions and resolving support issues in Oracle RMCS & Cloud ERP Finance modules. This role will report to operations lead of Financials workstream of Cloud ERP. The individual will support day to day production support in Revenue Management & Finance modules across all Legal entities in our global footprint. This role will partner with the business teams, IT teams and our vendors to plan, design, execute, test, document and provide operational support for all items offered as part of the ERP SaaS offering. This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to solve issues related to the deployment of the Oracle ERP.

Job Description

This is a Remote role within Mexico

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day production support issues in RMCS & Finance modules

  • Solid understanding of integration between RMCS and Order Management/PPM/Subscription Management/Receivables/General Ledger and any external Application

  • Design and build new interfaces between RMCS and Sub-ledgers and improve performance of existing RMCS interfaces

  • Provide production support, documentation, and delivery of ad-hoc requests

  • Ability to develop quality documentation that clearly articulates solutions and the ability to perform demonstrations

  • Ability to work with various customers/departments/users to design, deploy and support solutions according to the user requirements and Oracle best practices

  • Design, build and support Oracle ERP applications, troubleshooting, identifying issues, performing root cause analysis, documenting, and providing the best solutions to meet business needs

  • Be a contributing team member of the larger support team and assume accountability and responsibility for managing operational issues in Fusion

  • Develop credible and high-integrity relationships with business, IT and Vendor

  • Review requirement documents, create and maintain technical design and other required documents per the Standards and Processes

  • Work with business and IT staff to thoroughly test all fixes and configuration changes. Document changes and manage deployment process into production

  • Handle escalations during close cycle while prioritizing defects during non-close cycle

  • Write ad-hoc SQL queries to troubleshoot issues and develop OTBI reports for analysis

  • Partner with finance controllers/tax/operations/commercial users to evaluate and improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions

  • Analyze and present new capabilities/functionalities offered by Oracle in every release and perform thorough impact analysis

  • Extract data from Cloud ERP and map to other source systems, destination systems and transformation processes for all data conversion / migration projects

  • Escalate and conduct OWCs to obtain a timely resolution while negotiating a workaround

  • Support transition of projects from Program to Production Support team

  • Work closely with regression testing team to test every new quarterly release

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and/ or Finance. CA/CPA certification is a plus

  • 8+ year’s work experience with focus in Oracle On-Prem ERP’s and/or Fusion Cloud ERP

  • 4 years of experience with ERP’s RMCS modules including integration to DOO/PPM/AR/Subscription Mgmt., GL

  • A solid understanding of Oracle SaaS offering in all Functional areas with focus on RMCS

  • Strong understanding of functional and technical requirements of all the CEMLI items

  • Excellent oral & written communications in both English & Spanish


  • Hands-on, maintenance, and support experience with the Oracle ERP RMCS modules, tools, and associated components, including configuration/customization strategies and implementations, workflows, groups, roles, etc.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills within a business and/or technical context, particularly with translating customer requirements into technical solutions

  • Customer-focused with a high level of customer service, interaction, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute with strong problem-solving skills

  • Experience with Fusion Upgrades and preparing for each successful upgrade
