Job Description Summary

Customer facing staff responsible for winning business Jobs at this level operate with some autonomy but are covered by well-defined Commercial policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (typically annual volume, margin and compliance requirements). Responsible for medium-sized sales territories.

Job Description

The position consists in:

  • Managing the sales of M&D products and solutions in UK & Ireland: - Building the action plan to reach the OP. - On Boarding channels - Increasing Convertible Orders - For ERCIS wider region, supporting local GA sales team to grow M&D business.

  • Develop and cultivate long-term relationships with the channels and end users’ decision makers, keep them updated about new products and features, make technical presentations and work in spec-in for new projects and needs.

  • Develop technical expertise in GE’s Transformer Monitoring offerings

  • Develop deep market Segment knowledge and expertise

  • Prepare the quotations for M&D products and solutions following the customer needs and in coordinating with the required stakeholders in the organizations.

  • Provide marketing inputs about the supported customers and market to the Marketing team and the Product Line. Be the Voice of the Customer for his/her customers inside the organization.

  • Driving the channels animation around M&D activity.

  • Driving the commercial activity through Speak with the right level of data accuracy (Speak inputs, Win/Loss analysis…), with on time forecast. Keep a good balance of commit and upside opportunities to reach business goals and grow the business.

  • Contributing to M&D Pricing strategy per Segment/Country/Channel.

  • Contributing to On Line Store regular update and animation (when applicable).

Missions: in charge of GA M&D Sale s for UK & Ireland

  • Participate & contribute to M&D products and solution sales strategy.

  • Define GA Commercial Action Plan CAP on M&D activity.

  • Define the roadmap of the visits and meeting with End Users and Partners.

  • Identify opportunity / answer to RFQ / present & negotiate technical and commercial proposals to customers

  • Proactively educate and influence customer businesses through financials, specifications, product approvals

  • Define and implement promotions actions to develop the M&D activity (product qualification, new product/ spec in, events, customer training...)

  • Analyze T&C’s at tendering stage together with & Legal experts

  • Coordinate/interface with M&D R&D and Marketing.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

Engineer Level/ electricity/commercial/control commands substation _ With at least 5 years’ experience

  • Proven experience of 3 to 5 years in similar technical sales role in the following areas:

  • Transformer and/or HV switchgear monitoring, service and maintenance

  • Substation protection & control

  • Experience of managing sales channels, local partners, distributors and value-added resellers.

  • Selling of both complex monitoring & control solutions and products (substation automation, M&D…)

  • Evidence of successful sales experience or significant customer interaction on utility/industry related product solutions.

  • Customer orientated/ Growth mindset. Must be able to generate immediate credibility on different levels externally and internally.

  • Ability to develop key customer relationships and to promote win-win sales strategies

  • Proactive work style, creativity, energy. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

  • Excellent negotiating & closing skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on relationships / team building

  • Effective team contributor and member

  • Change management mindset

  • Willingness to travel locally and overseas around 50% of total work time

Interpersonal skills

  • English language: spoken/written/fluent.

  • Knowledge of T&D hardware and customers

  • Deep product and domain expertise of T&D power delivery products including power transformers

  • Advanced Knowledge of Transformers and Monitoring and Diagnostics

  • Successful orders growth track record

  • Self-starter, positive attitude, committed to the success of the business

  • Experience developing and executing successful growth strategies

  • Work efficiently without direct supervision

  • Desire to work outside of boundaries and drive change

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
