General Electric Systems Engineer in Home/Remote/Alternate, Finland

Job Description Summary

As a Systems Engineer you will work on CARESCAPE Bx50 patient monitor and parameter module products used in critical care and anesthesia applications. You will lead the technical design and ensure products are meeting their requirements, in collaboration with a cross-functional team.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical work of product change projects for Patient Monitors and Parameter Modules

  • Work with the design team from requirements development until manufacturing phase, including technical documentation, verification and risk mitigations

  • Conduct technical analysis with GE offered methods and tools

  • Ensure compliance to medical standards

  • Plan technical work content, communicate with team, and report progress to stakeholders

  • Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, and other cross-functions

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical/Biomedical Engineering or equivalent knowledge

  • Desire to work in projects and engineering development activities

  • Technical know-how and learning abilities to work on various technologies and related suppliers

  • Desire to work on medical equipment and interest to develop into an expert

  • Ability to work, influence and communicate within global environment

  • Self-organizing, good documentation and problems solving skills

  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of patient monitoring devices, physiological parameter measurement and clinical applications or hospital infrastructure

  • Experience in working in regulated industry under quality management system

  • Ability to form the big picture and make conclusions
