General Electric Product Security Specialist in Home/Remote/Alternate, Finland

Job Description Summary

We are looking for a passionate Product Security Specialist with good knowledge of cybersecurity principles and technologies. You will support cross-functional teams in development of our next generation bedside and wearable monitors, sensors and related patient monitoring products, ensuring their compliance to regulators’ and customers’ requirements.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform threat assessments to identify, evaluate, document, and mitigate privacy and cybersecurity threats

  • Support development teams in planning and implementing Privacy and Security features for our products

  • Perform cybersecurity vulnerability assessments, including automated scanning and tools/processes development

  • Contribute to the creation of Privacy and Security customer documentation


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent

  • Good understanding of cybersecurity principles from both technical and administrative perspectives

  • Experience with software and hardware cybersecurity technologies

  • Self-starter and quick learner

  • Demonstrated engineering curiosity and problem-solving skills

  • Good documentation and communication skills

  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written

  • EU work permit

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience with open source software technologies and practices

  • Hands-on experience of implementing cybersecurity features

  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and analysis tools (e.g. Burp suite, Qualys, Nessus, etc.)

  • Scripting experience such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python

  • Experience in programming languages like C, C++ Functional knowledge of cyber security standards (e.g IEC 270001, IEC 62304, UL2900 etc.)
