Job Description Summary

The Sourcing Specialist will work as the local owner for the O&M sourcing activities. This responsibility includes the development, communication and execution of strategies to ensure realization of the business objectives for the Algeria MGD contract.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of the O&M sourcing strategy; deliver a competitive advantage by driving the strategic supplier initiatives, selection, development, and consolidation to ensure optimal business performance.

  • Execute across the purchase base, with full accountability for meeting cost-out, OTD, NNT (cash) and preferred supplier targets.

  • Manage the O&M buying process for a given set of goods including OEM parts and services.

  • Lead site specific projects agreed to with the business Sourcing Leader and O&M Manager on-site

  • KPI's owner, manage the operational rhythms and reviews with the leadership

  • Understand and ensure business specific regulatory requirements, global ops compliance, and quality, delivery and cost expectations are met.

  • Partner with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material and services OTD meet the needs of the business

  • Regular collaboration with SQE to ensure qualification plan is established and delivery performance needs are met

  • Collaborate with commodity leaders to execute negotiation on specifically assigned commodities

  • Manage the operational relationship with suppliers.

  • Work Cross-functionally with business teams to effectively implement business solutions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college or high school degree

  • At least min. 5 years of work experience in sourcing/supply chain

  • Manufacturing experience would be an asset

  • Ability to effectively and accurately transmit, receive and interpret data through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

  • Very strong organizational and communication (both verbal and written) skills

  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems

  • Knowledge and capability to use the tools, processes, and best practices for predicting business trends and providing forecasts that drive business decisions and planning.

  • Strong influencing & collaboration skills

  • Fluent in English and French would be a plus

  • Excellent ability to build rapport across the organization
