General Electric MR Modality Sales Manager in Home/Remote/Alternate, United Arab Emirates

Job Description Summary

You will be accountable to grow sales revenue and margins for the Magnetic Resonance (MR) product range or segment within the Emerging Markets Region (EGM) -Middle East and Africa. You will drive a coherent product differentiation and commercial strategy for the MR product range and optimize the use of resources in conjunction with Modality General Manager to cover market potential for their in order to achieve the Operating plan. You will be responsible to update upstream marketing and engineering of evolving market and customer needs to drive the continuous product innovation adapted to local market needs.

Job Description


  • Accountable to achieve and support the set up the quarterly and yearly respective financials targets for assigned geographical area in conjunction with Modality General Manager.

  • Accountable for timely and accurate forecasting of pipeline and sales per the normal reporting cycles

  • Provide input to and contribute to the formulation of the yearly business planning cycles

  • Aware of current and future trends in healthcare technology and healthcare funding mechanisms.

  • Lead, coach and direct the differentiation (position, value proposition and key messages) of the MR product/solution/service w with the respective Marketing contact and the team of Sales Leaders / Specialists

  • Act as reference point to the region account teams

  • Continuously position the value of the MR product within the relevant GE Healthcare care areas/disease areas.

  • Know, interact and develop the strategy with Key Opinion Leaders in product relevant care areas; manage professional relations with key customers, academia, government and administrative bodies in order to ensure understanding of needs and that GE Healthcare product value proposition is differentiated in the minds of these key customer groups.

  • Nurture relationships with professional society stakeholders.

  • Ensure and validate up to date knowledge of product positioning and differentiation messages within the Sales teams as well as relevant account teams.

  • Determine the market potential for their product/product range or segment and prioritize the opportunities and drive the sharing of best practices on opportunity management

  • In conjunction with Modality General Manager, align territories to market potential and priorities and assign optimal sales resources.

  • Responsible to set appropriate operating plan targets based on the MR product market potential, for their first line managers (if applicable) and/or Sales teams.

  • Ensure compliance and execution of the regional sales process and rules of engagement within their teams in conjunction with the regional Account Managers and Modality General Manager

  • Ensure that all team members utilize the required sales systems to create pipeline visibility and assist accurate forecasting.

  • In conjunction with Modality General Manager determines and drives ownership of order and configuration quality at the point of entry to ensure accuracy, configuration integrity and that all requirements are tied to documented customer inputs.

  • Responsible for driving optimal operating mechanisms to monitor and track progress of opportunities in the pipeline as well as forecasting performance against Operating Plan with the team

  • Responsible to drive optimal operating mechanisms to deliver on fulfillment targets and order backlog commitments.

  • Act as a role model for collaborative mindset across functions.

  • Facilitate effective communication and trustful collaboration within the Zone/Product matrix organization.

  • Share and follow-up identified leads to other product lines within own accounts and or One GE Healthcare accounts

  • Act as a primary product customer point of contact in the sub region and represents the product/product range in case of multi-product projects and cross-P&L business events.

  • Recognize success, shares best practices, provides exposure to people within the team with senior leaders within the region, products and modalities.


  • Extensive experience in product sales & commercial field

  • Strong analytical and process skills, strong project management skills

  • Strong customer management skills

  • Ability to work effectively with Modality and Regional teams within a matrix environment

  • Deep Product Management/Sales expertise

  • Leadership skills to lead teams and shape/lead growth vision and sales strategy

  • Innovation – develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas

  • Proven knowledge of MENEAT and SSA Imaging markets and customer base

  • Proven ability to work in a team in MENEAT and SSA Regions and globally
