As Senior Interaction Designer you will apply your empathetic and creative skills as well as your knowledge of experience design methodologies, best practices and proven processes to conceptualize and deliver coherent and delightful UX designs for GE Healthcare on budget, within planned schedule with superb quality. You will lead the experience design for highly complex, international projects that require in-depth knowledge in specialized business domains. With this, you will help build the future of Imaging at GE Healthcare and help advance human health.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Create intuitive, effective, coherent and delightful information architectures and interaction designs in order to seamlessly support our customers’ daily practice, workflows, and their care paths considering requirements also outside of your own project scope

  • Collaborate with other members of the design organization as well as with project and business stakeholders and customers to deliver best-in-class interaction design concepts balancing user, business, and technical requirements applying a human-centered and portfolio perspective

  • Collaborate with design, product, and platform teams to create and execute modular designs and platform-level architecture strategies that enable fleet benefits for our users as well as internal synergies. Apply our design system and contribute to building it further

  • Translate concepts and prototypes into formal design requirements and specifications documents, also ensuring medical regulatory requirements are integrated

  • Serving as a thought leader and consulting resource for interaction design techniques

  • Lead and influence business-wide discussions and decisions relative to experience design.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Graduation or post-graduation in design, psychology or similar discipline from a reputed institute

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as an interaction designer

  • Track record of delivering coherent and delightful interaction designs

  • Deep understanding of interaction design approaches and design thinking

  • Skilled in workflow analysis, mapping, and design

  • Skilled in standard design, prototyping, and wireframing tools (Adobe CC or Edge, Keynote, OmniGraffle, Sketch,…), visual communication

  • Good understanding of Agile / Lean methodologies

  • Ability to explain the essence of insights and concepts with confidence and clarity

  • Strong team player

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, change orientation

  • Demonstrated customer focus, empathy, creativity, and humor

  • Strong level of self-motivation and ability to work independently

  • Ability to travel internationally up to 20%.
