Job Description Summary
The Software Engineer - CT Image Generation works in close collaboration with the Image Quality & Algorithm development engineers, Host software engineers, and System engineers to define and develop new product/platform technologies to meet customer needs. The Software Engineer - CT Image Generation position distinguishes itself through a high emphasis on new product/platform developments and a strong focus on image generation and post image processing to develop significant design and performance improvements in the product architecture. CT image generation application is also handled as single medical software device with the latest VM/containerization technology. This role requires this related knowledge and development skill.

As a Software Engineer - CT Image Generation, you will become a technical leader of the innovative technical areas in CT Image Generation. You will report directly to the CT Software Group Manager.
Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Working with cross-functional engineers, marketing team, product definition team, and global team to define image reconstruction and performance requirements for new products
Leading the CT image generation subsystem team to define, design, and implement technology solutions on new product/platform introductions
Using broad technical expertise and experience to resolve complex design issues in the current products
Providing domain expertise to own/lead technical design reviews, investigation of technical risks, as well as providing innovative solutions to achieve optimal system performance
Driving the implementation of new CT image generation algorithms and post processing application features through product programs as the subsystem leader.
Developing methods to improve image quality, and deliver subsystem-level designs to deliver an effective solution
Developing requirements for key system performance parameters as they relate to image generation and post image processing
Investigating customer inquiries and complaints in image generation and post processing applications to provide technical answers and solutions
Providing technical leadership for project execution
Qualifications / Requirements
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Medical Physics or a closely related field Strong understanding of image reconstruction, post-processing applications and image/signal processing fundamentals More than 3 years relevant work experience in product development, image reconstruction and image/signal processing areas are desirable. Effective communication skills - ability to present ideas clearly and concisely Demonstrated ability to pursue tasks to completion Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, matrixed, and customer focused environment Business level English communication skill to drive global development work Proficient in the software cording like C, C++, Java and python. Must be legally authorized to work in Japan full-time.
