General Electric Senior Application Engineer in Heerhugowaard, Netherlands
The Senior Application Engineer is part of the Front End Engineering unit within LM Engineering organization. The Front End Engineering unit comprises of initial concept design, aero-acoustics, technical account managers, and application engineering. In this role, you will ensure voice of customer is captured in the blade specification and support of technical account managers, and will combine technical knowledge and offerings of LM to customers
As the Senior Application Engineer, you will:
Bridge the gap / communicate at all levels with a vision of full technical life cycles of LM blade offerings to customers
Be familiar with rotor design and process of rotor sizing, conceptual design of turbine, and requirements of the wind turbine OEM to deliver expected performance for lowering cost of energy (LCOE)
Support technical account managers with customer projects
Support projects within customer opportunity delivery program
Ensure a robust technical road-map development / expectation of performance and LCoE
Deal with dynamic project requirements and stakeholder expectations in a highly competitive environment and gain higher transparency with focus on customer
Boost attendance to customer technical inquires throughout the development of the blade
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or related field from an accredited university or college and/or equivalent knowledge/experience
Significant experience in the wind industry with knowledge of rotor blades and the correlation to wind turbine as a system
Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or related field from an accredited university or college and/or equivalent knowledge/experience
International experience working with leading wind turbine manufacturers
Strong technology development skills
Strong technical background
Strong communication skills with attentiveness to customers’ needs
Proactive, persistent and consequent in actions
Strong in timely delivery of high quality work
Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
Structured, methodical and consistent
