Job Description Summary
The Service Technician I, Offshore Wind is responsible to perform services and maintenance activities on the Merkur customers site / property within his team. This includes all types of maintenance services (i.e. preventive and corrective), maintenance facilities, and coordinate with his Team Lead and other support functions. Driving operational excellence, quality and safety is key priority for this role.

Essential Responsibilities
Be responsible for the execution of all service-related tasks with respect to EHS (ToolBoxTalks, Incident Reporting, etc.), Electrical Safety (LOTO), Taking over the Anlagenverantwortung (ANLV) while working on the WEC.
Coordinate and perform administrative activities as per relevant service processes, including tracking work activities, manage component/parts deliveries to/from your location or on the SOV
Participate in process & quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback on lessons learned to your team lead.
Able to coordinate the team work timings to align with marine transfer pickup times
Able to react on short notice work condition changes due to changes in the planning or weather related
Willing to be a nominated person for reoccurring inspections or other dedicated works scopes.
Qualifications/Requirements
Professional education/apprenticeship in an electrical technical discipline with experience or other additional education (for example EFFT) to cover a basic electrical background
Ability and willingness to work offshore in a rotational shift system on a vessel
Proven ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment, remote teams, strong team player
Fluency in English language
Desired Characteristics
Proven offshore wind experience or experience in a related discipline
High motivation level; self-starter with good communication skills
Ability to perform troubleshooting and maintenance according to the manufacturer’s specifications at Avanti Pegasus XL service lift is a plus
Ability to perform troubleshooting and maintenance according to the manufacturer’s specifications at Palfinger PSM400 service crane is a plus
Proven rope access experience is a plus
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
German language skills are a plus
