General Electric Quality Controller in Hamble-le-Rice, United Kingdom

Role Summary:

Quality Controller position reporting into the Quality organisation – responsible for the inspection of aircraft parts (predominantly metallic details).

Essential Responsibilities:

Inspection of Aerospace parts against design data (2D drawings, 3D model), condition of supply, inspection plans:

  • Machine details

  • Sheet details

  • Composite and metallic assemblies

  • CMM experience:

  • Operation of CMM machines (Valisys and pcDMIS software)

  • Programming using pcDMIS,

  • Analysis of CMM results (Valisys and pcDMIS software).

  • Use of measuring equipment

  • Preparation and completion of First Article Inspection (FAI) reports

  • Calibration of measuring equipment Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation

  • Proven experience of understanding and conforming parts against design data (2D drawings, models etc…) using inspection methods

  • Proven experience of using measuring equipment

  • Good knowledge of health and safety

  • PC literate including experience using Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Previous inspection experience in an Aerospace environment (AS9100, Part 21G, Part 145 etc... approvals)

  • FAIR experience (AS9102)

  • An understanding of the MRP system would be desirable

  • Desire to learn and evolve with the business

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
