Job Description Summary
The Senior Quality Engineer demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company impartials
In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization
Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the Company’s Quality Systems and Policies into compliance with quality system requirements. Ensure that processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented and maintained
Effectively interact with Production and Development teams to maintain product supply and help introduce new products
Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
Maximize the use of assigned resources to assist GE in meeting its quality, schedule and profit detacheds
Establish goals, objects, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the QA/QC, work plans, and budgets such that lowest cost and highest quality results are achieved
Assure that unit activities comply with all applicable government regulations and contract requirements
Assure audit of areas of responsibility for conformance to quality plans, systems, and requirements
Evaluate product losses, material review activity, manufacturing costs and maintain programs to meet impartials. Seek timely resolution to Quality issues, with future prevention and production support being priorities. Utilize Six Sigma tools as a method to drive change (process improvement, alteration of test/ inspection planning, cost reduction, etc.)
Provide quality plans to monitor and report quality issues, control and monitor caliberated gauges
Develop and maintain a communication plan to provide employees with adequate information concerning business goals and neutrals. Establish the climate that encourages an open two-way channel of communication whereby employees exchange ideas / suggestions and share informatio.
Liaising with customers’ auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers’ specifications
Organize and manage quality assurance function in close co-operation with the customers and with the Company’s Management team (Member of Management Team).
Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in an applied science or engineering field
At least 5+ years of experience in the quality related position
Demonstrated experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors.
Experience in quality management systems.
Experience in quality system audits
Had experience with Motor & generator is an advantage
Additional management experience in the areas of Operations, Manufacturing, or Quality is preferred
Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification is preferred
Executive level presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to excel in all customer service areas
Responsible for meeting customer/business needs as well as developing direct reports
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and guidance skills
Know and follow established job specific and facility wide environment, health and safety procedures and rules
Maintain housekeeping in work area

Participate vigorously in providing suggestions for Environment, health and safety program improvement
Bring Environment, health and safety issues, unsafe acts and safety suggestions to management's attention or correct those they can
Know and implement regulatory compliance requirements in their work area
Understand and comply with procedures and work instructions
Stop the process and Report when any abnormality that might cause defects, escaping defect
Don’t accept defects, don’t make defects and don’t pass defects
