General Electric Sourcing Intern - BHGE Pressure Control Monterrey in Guadalupe, Mexico

Role Summary:

Internship Sourcing buyer will support the team during the buying process for the following activities; sourcing policy application, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets, supplier selection, commercial negotiations and contract finalization.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Place and follow-up on POs.

• Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution.

• Accountable for quality and on time delivery of assigned products

• Update ERP

• Understand strategies for assigned commodities & proactively drive initiatives to meet Sourcing objectives related to productivity, deflation and supplier development

• Analyze and track Supplier promise date accuracy and develop reports to ensure Supplier promise date accuracy

• Works within a team executing routine but complex analysis

• Support the Strategic/Commodity teams to develop cost out strategies and supplier workload management

• Achieve lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs

• Support key sourcing initiatives through continuous improvement projects

• Ensure supplier compliance with regulatory and reputation requirements

• Signals flaws in approaches, methods, procedures and processes and suggests improvements

• Contributes to project as a team member

• Own relevant KPIs with special focus on

• On time PO placement

• On time delivery to need date and Customer Contractual date for material and documentation (Manuals, Spirs, Certificates)

• Productivity financial savings and Contribution Margin enhancement

• Quarterly Revenue plan

• Inventory optimization

• Resolve Supplier blocked invoice


• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

• Purchasing Systems experience.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• English fluent
