Job Description Summary

Work as a member of the PMO team within the P2V organization, which includes enabling, monitoring, and ultimately moving cost out initiatives; mentoring Value Eng. or SA team members; and shaping the overall cost out process from start (business case development) through completion (application to customers).

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Enable cost out initiatives to move through the business phases by removing roadblocks, helping to elevate issues, mentoring P2V team members, and improving the cost out process.

  • Be the PMO focal for all Service-related cost out initiatives with rest of P2V, Service, FieldCore, Engineering, Sourcing and Manufacturing to help deliver cost out

  • Support P2V team in brainstorming activities for cost out idea generation

  • Prioritize highest payback ideas being worked in the functional teams

  • Work with the functions to identify EIOs for each cost out idea

  • Manage an operating rhythm that drives the project pipeline and execution aligned to the cost out needs

  • Identify areas of concern regarding resources (people and funding)

  • Work with Finance and engineering, supply chain teams to communicate targets and status, risks and opportunities to leadership throughout the year

  • Maintain a strategic line of site to interactions between Product Cost and base cost, supply chain make / buy decisions, factory costs, and inventory / cash

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience

  • Strong applicable experience, preferable Service-related

  • Significant experiences in multi-disciplined cost teams

Desired Characteristics

  • Significant knowledge of Gas Power Systems products, processes, and organizational structure

  • Significant knowledge of Gas Power Service products, processes, and organizational structure

  • Good personal network in Gas Power Service Organization

  • Highly effective communicator with experience in presenting and interacting with leadership across multiple organizations

  • Demonstrated operational excellence with proven results

  • Understanding of program objectives and drives specific tasks required to meet these objectives

  • Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization
