Job Description Summary

The role as Project Manager in Customer quality assurance will have a reporting line to Director for Quality Assurance Projects. Customer Quality. The primary task for the role is to manage end-to-end projects that are driven from product quality issues The role is responsible for the full effective resolution of the issue by using a structured problem solving methodology including budgeting and financial followup together with stakeholder management. Furthermore, reporting to stakeholders and close interaction with customers is a vital part of the role. • Primary focus is to develop the solutions at the customer speed. Customer oriented mindset is a must

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overall accountable for managing Quality Issue projects.

  • Setting team with the right resources and ensuring commitment from management

  • Setup “sprints sessions” to ensure fast and accurate containment actions are being implemented.

  • Responsible for determining the technical risk and also the financial impact that the quality issue potentially can cause.

  • Responsible for the root cause analysis for both source, escape and system root causes Responsible for the project deliverables targeting the best quality in a timely manner..

  • Making the Budget for the overall project. This includes cost for developing field solutions as well as the budget for field execution.

  • Support any field related issues that can bring the quality issue execution at risk.

  • Primary focus is to develop the solutions to correct the issue at the customer speed. Work with engineering, finance and legal on the most effective way to resolve, meet business and customer needs (field execution, settlements etc)

  • Work with service and finance monthly basis regarding the service and financial management of the project

  • Customer oriented mindset is a must.

  • Ensure a close feedback loop as a part of issue resolution to all relevant areas of the organization. Lessons learned will be highly relevant to bring as much learning into the LM organization as possible.

  • Meeting the defined KPIs for the issue resolution. Making sure that key stakeholders are updated in progress and status of the issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar quality role in the wind industry

Desired Characteristics

  • Certified project manager – Or proven track record of project management.

  • Extensive experience with LEAN – preferably from both administrative and manufacturing processes.

  • Risk management experience like FMEA tools – or similar to identify and quantify product quality risks.

  • Experience with structured problem solving – 8D methodology or similar.

  • 6sigma green or black belt. And proven track record for green or black belt projects

  • Fluent in English – preferably at negotiation level

  • Financial understanding to building budgets and generating cost follow up on projects.

  • Solid business understanding and ability to utilize that in the issue resolution process.

  • Personal drive with a “can do attitude”

  • Have a analytical approach to structured problem solving

  • Have a analytical approach to structured problem solving

  • Feel comfortable in a very dynamic environment.

  • Like to take the lead – even on difficult and complex projects

  • Strong ability to understand the big picture without loosing sight of the details.

  • Good at creating and maintaining good relationships to key stakeholders in the organization.

  • Good at both starting and finishing projects to maximize value add.

  • APQP4WIND experience – or APQP experience in the automotive industry.
