General Electric Continuous Improvement Process Leader in Greenville, South Carolina

Job Description Summary

In this role you will partner with cross-functional stakeholders within the Gas Power-New Units Project Management organization to standardize, improve and optimize processes and policies related to project execution across all poles. You will be expected to interact will all poles while supporting process excellence and execution governance for the business.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Operationalization of the business strategy related to key Policies and Processes for project management, documentation of new processes and training to key stakeholders.

  • Leadership and coordination of implementation of key process changes and improvements.

  • Lean involvement to drive Kaizen, Kaizen newspaper, PSR

  • Strong collaboration with cross functional teams on process issues identification, lessons learned and corrective actions as well as tools/system changes to enable improvement

  • Managing the day-to-day operation and enhancements of the Project Management bench portal as a one shop stop for the project management organization for processes, tools, lessons learned, trainings, etc.

  • Drive improvement on project portfolio data quality by enhancing the visibility and corrective actions from stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in projects involving process improvement and optimization

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong analytical skills including management of KPIs and reporting experience.

  • Experience in working with global and remote teams. Demonstrated horizontal leadership

  • Experience in operational lean, problem solving and root cause analysis. Greenbelt or Blackbelt certified.

  • Strong track record of implementing and driving global process optimization, rigor, standardization, documentation and communication.

  • Good understanding of key systems used by project managers and project teams.

  • Leading, driving change and resilient

  • Flexible attitude to adapt to different time zone needs

  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills

  • Clear thinker, problem solving approach based on available information
