General Electric Sr Lifecycle Operations Engineer in Grand Rapids, Michigan
As the Sr Lifecycle Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the Digital Technology efforts for the Grand Rapids, MI Aviation facility. In this role, you will partner with the local leadership team and address the strategic and tactical Digital issues impacting operations. This role requires strong project, interpersonal, leadership, compliance and change skills. The individual will report functionally to the Digital Technology Leader.
Contribute to a variety of functions in the programmanagement domain including delivery of multiple products, product areas, orplatforms, management of issues, roadblocks, dependencies, overlaps,over-scopes, and communication management.
Accelerate the brilliant factory roadmap by optimizingfactory operations through introduction of advanced manufacturing technologies,improve machine monitoring and increasing productivity.
Leverage modern data integration and visualization tools todevelop supply chain data and process analytics
Works on cross-functional projects/teams to delivertechnology solutions for the business
Communicates across direct organization and across theDigital Technology function in area of expertise
Presents to senior leaders in specific technical space andon cross-functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute tooverall strategy
Drive operations and strategy for all areas of IT includingshop floor technology and applications
Evaluate opportunities within the shop and across the valuestream to further the GE digital industrial journey
Evaluate new user technologies (office automation andcollaboration tools, mobile devices, wearables, etc.…) to improve overallemployee experience and increase productivity
Partner with the other Electronic Value Stream Sites DigitalTechnology teams to address Digital requirements.
Engage, select and direct IT contract and vendor resourcesas required
Integrate and operate with other site DT leaders oninitiatives that impact the Supply Chain sites
Coordinate with all remote CIO / CTO groups & technologyservices organizations on infrastructure upgrades, application rollouts, andoperational support
Focal point for site Data Security / Privacy procedures andprocesses
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, InformationTechnology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering (or a high school diploma /GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Technology).
At least 5 years of experience.

Proven skill in both business planning and informationtechnology
Knowledge of Oracle EBS or other ERP applications withadditional hands-on experience ·Knowledge of networking, storage, and computinginfrastructure
Discrete manufacturing experience
Able to use Six Sigma tools and techniques to drive change
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Capable and influential at project management
Quality and cost driven
Experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics,Brilliant/Smart Factory, and Machine Monitoring
