General Electric Sr. Calibration & Inspection Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan
Job Description Summary
The primary function of the job is the calibration of all measurement and test equipment used for product acceptance, including test hardware, test software, and automated test equipment. Requires inspection and identification of new equipment; calibration to specifications to assure accuracy and repeatability; validation of parameters affecting product quality; and maintaining traceability of calibration sources and records to the NIST.

Essential Functions:
Duties require basic computer skills in the Windows operating system and applications
Reading of blueprints, electronic schematic diagrams, and product manufacturers manuals
Qualifications / Requirements:
A working knowledge of the following:
electrical/electronic measurement techniques
electrical safety (120VAC / 220VAC 60Hz, and 400Hz 3 phase)
physical measurements such as temperature, torque, force, etc.
familiarity with basic quality techniques.
Must be able to use the following:
oscilloscopes,
digital multimeters
spectrum analyzers
generators
ratio meters
power supplies
electronic counters
automated test systems
standard resistors
capacitors and inductors
angle position indicators
synchro’s
rate table positioning systems
Desired Skills / Experience:
The successful candidate will have two years’ experience operating and testing electronic test equipment, meters, supplies, etc.,
Preference will be given to those with Electronic Technical/Vocational School certificates or associate degrees.
Must be self-motivated
Able to work with minimum supervision; and able to work to general written and verbal instructions.
Candidates will be required to successfully complete a two-part test.
