Job Description Summary

All activities providing the necessary support on pre- and post-contractual administration & management , Terms & Conditions of the contract and the Management of claims. Also involves definition, management, and execution of risk modeling activities in support of the contract or project. Also involves definition, management, and execution of contract estimating processes and activities to support tenders and project reviews. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the profitability and customer satisfaction for assigned contracts .

  • Provide both service agreement, and time and material program management ·

  • Assist in sales campaigns for new contracts and proposals .

  • Assure timely resolution of customer issues and customer satisfaction for assigned contracts ·

  • Interact with members of the customer service, parts & transactional services, field service, repair service and/or other teams

  • Function as liaison between internal organizations and customers for assigned contracts ·

  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.

  • Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.

  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.

  • In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance.

  • Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks.

  • Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.

  • May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

  • A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent.

  • Provides informal guidance to new team members.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Services & Customer Contract Management.

  • Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

  • For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

  • Responsible for leading and managing the execution of aftermarket services contracts (repairs, retrofits, exchanges, stock support services). Work with Customers, Supply Chain, Finance, Contracts and other functions to ensure GEAS delivers against existing contract commitments and meets required performance standards and operating margins.

  • Work with Sales, Commercial Operations and other functions to establish proposals to capture additional/ongoing Services business.

  • Maintain contract management of Customer Support Agreements regards repairs, retrofits, exchanges, annual review against KPIs as necessary, attend customer reviews, monitor and administrate annual escalation as appropriate, alert stakeholders when nearing expiration date for replacement.

  • Conduct business analysis of expected costs, revenues and margins (CM%/OM%), take action as required if not achieving 650.10-approved figures.

  • Assist Aftermarket Proposal Teams (Sales, Comm Ops, Contracts, Modelling) with bids and proposals for new and momentum business with ‘actuals’ (historical data, costs and pricing) and estimates of future costs and arisings, as required for modelling of expected revenues/margins.

  • Provide commercial & contractual advice to Aftermarket team for decision making.

  • Assist with 650.10 approvals as necessary.

  • Assess performance, drive continuous improvement and seek proactive opportunities for further growth.

  • Meet Turn Around Time and contractual commitments for repairs & spares delivery and attend to day-to-day liaison with customers as issues arise.

  • Act as primary customer and external team member contact for program activities, leading program review sessions to agree price, schedule, technical performance and expectations.

  • Assist with business strategy to grow Aftermarket Services business.

  • Work with Engineering on technical issues that need resolving.

  • Manage small to medium-sized projects & programs as necessary.
