Job Description Summary
Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing production processes to ensure cost effective and safe assembly, test, and inspection of avionics products
Assess, address, and validate tool and equipment needs to facilitate safe, timely, and cost-effective production
Coordinate design, procurement and implementation of tooling and support equipment, executing to established budgets and timelines
Communicates with direct team, supervisor, engineers and other management
Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research
Establishes and successfully executes approved new technology, continuous improvement, and cost-out projects
Drive productivity and product quality improvements via process changes
Participate in bid & proposal activity, including development of non-recurring engineering and recurring product cost estimates
Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activity to ensure product producibility and testability upon entry into service
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university or college
Internship manufacturing experience in Mechanical / Electronics
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
Prior manufacturing process improvement accomplishments and exposure to lean manufacturing
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and on a team
Strong problem-solving skills
