Job Description Summary
GE - Renewable Energy would like to recruit a Grid Automation Strategic Marketing Leader to work in our Grid Solution business.
The Grid Automation Marketing and Strategy Leader is responsible for developing marketing strategy, market trends assessment and analysis to support the Grid Automation growth target. The role will be responsible for building a global view of customer needs and industry players positioning to support the development of the Grid Automation strategic direction.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
•Lead the team to perform research and gather data about customers’ needs and roadmaps, competitors’ positioning, and market conditions with focus on Energy market segment, in collaboration with regional commercial teams.
•Develop processes to gather information such as customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying behaviors using a variety of methods, such as interviews, questionnaires, voice of customer sessions, market analysis surveys, publicly available information, and literature reviews.
Convert complex data and findings into understandable tables, graphs, and written reports to drive decisions
•Develop global heat map and profit pools for Grid Automation, identify market trends and lead healthy debates to drive business strategy and investment decisions
•Work closely with product management and region commercial teams to create the right market segmentation to drive products and solutions differentiation, articulate value propositions and market positioning
•Develop GA marketing strategy to ensure industry presence and promote new products and solutions. Develop innovative marketing approaches to create awareness and foster GA thought leadership
•Develop GA M&A gameboard and drive investment decisions based on market data
•Monitor and forecast technology and industry trends and propose actions to adjust GA strategic direction based on data analysis
•Measure the effectiveness of GA marketing programs and strategies
•Develop B2B marketing strategy to ensure industry presence and promote new products and solutions. Develop innovative marketing approaches to create awareness and foster GA thought leadership
•Oversee the execution of a broad range of B2B marketing activities including lead generation, tradeshows, content marketing, and other digital marketing activities.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing or Engineering
•Experience leading a marketing organization or product management expertise
•Energy industry experience demonstrated by a good understanding of customer needs and industry trends
