We are looking for a Director - Cyber Security to lead the Security Red Team. This team is responsible for executing adversarial threat simulation on GE’s infrastructure and critical assets helping the enterprise improve process and controls to protect against real attacks.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities :

Set the strategy and drive the evolution of the Red Team activities. Oversee teams of subject matter experts in threat simulation. Partner with other CTR organizations and business teams to plan and execute on several threat simulations. Develop and maintain strategy and approach for improving efficiency, coverage and value add of the team. Assist in risk management decisioning process, providing inputs when needed related to technology, architecture and strategy. Coach, guide, and develop direct team members, providing effective feedback and development opportunities.

Qualifications/Requirements :

Minimum 8 years of work experience

Minimum 2 years as a people leader of a highly technical team

Minimum 6 years offensive security work (red team, pen testing, vulnerability assessment)

Preferred location is Glen Allen, VA but flexible to any city within the US.

Desired Characteristics :

Bachelors Degree preferred

Very strong leadership experience leading highly technical teams

Very strong offensive security technical skills – demonstrates ability to deep dive on technical subject pertaining vulnerabilities and remediation with the team

Experience leading and influencing global cross-functional teams/projects

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve

Change oriented –actively generates process improvements; supports and drives change, and confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways

Self-motivated, self-directed, flexible, and able to work under pressure and in fast paced team environment

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff and to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems

Strong problem solving, prioritization, presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to make recommendations to all levels of the organization

Strong functional team player with experience working seamlessly across a heavy matrixed structure

Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication skill with ability to translate technical concepts into business spoken terms.
