General Electric Services Director – EMEA in Garching, Germany

Role Summary:Customer facing staff responsible for growth and execution of our Digital Works portfolio in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Digital Works is our services business that ensures our digital products and consulting services are delivered on time, on budget and beyond our customers’ expectations. This includes implementation of our core software solutions, value added and managed services built around them as well as our expert consulting business.

Essential Responsibilities:

Ensure on time, on budget and beyond customer expectations of all Digital Works projects in your region

Work with partner organizations and services delivery organizations to ensure staffing is appropriate against current and future demand

Collaborate with Sales to negotiate and close very complex and high value deals

Communicate, educate and enable the EMEA sales team on services sales practices and process

Identify and execute opportunities to create new opportunities by combining GEAD portfolio of products and services

Review current Commercial contracts and identify areas for restructure to mutually benefit the business and customer

Establish commercial contracts and agreements with customers to support product and service delivery

Establish strong relationships with customers at the executive level

Lead internal deal teams to develop innovative and creative solutions to benefit the business and the customer

Lead the global virtual Customer Team to proactively identify and successfully close customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

Develop customer centric solutions to resolve customer challenges and build long term mutually beneficial relationships

Utilize current market data to prepare strategic and local marketing and campaign initiatives and promote brand awareness

Develop, manage and report on progress against annual Operating Plan and identify initiatives for growth playbook and PVM process

Ensure regulatory compliance in all activities

25%-75% domestic & international travel as needed to meet job requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or equivalent Industry Experience or equivalent knowledge or experience

Proven experience in a senior services, sales and marketing roles with multi-million-dollar budgets

Strong experience in industry related services, sales, application engineering and/or marketing

Demonstrated success in negotiation, deal closure and contract development to achieve significant multi-product, multi-year contracts with customers

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, gain acceptance and negotiate successful outcomes with customers

Proven leadership of teams with members based in multiple locations

Demonstrated ability to research and analyze data to develop strategic and local sales opportunities and budgets

Proficient in the use of Information Technology applications to manage workflows and reporting

Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical and personal values in decisions, actions and when dealing with others. Including ability to be transparent with management on issues that develop

Ability to work flexibly at times when campaigns are in progress under significant time and commercial pressure, remaining focused with sustained leadership influence and able to respond creatively to rapidly changing competitive inputs, and influence senior internal stakeholders to adopt positions needed to be successful
