General Electric Proposal& Commercial Project Manager (m/f/d) in Garching, Germany

Role Summary:As Commercial Project Manager you will be responsible for managing the sales proposal process in the EMEA region, from opportunity identification through contract flow-down to key organizations. The role will report into the EMEA Commercial Operations Leader for GE Additive and be part of a collaborative team in an open-minded atmosphere. You'll be provided with room for your own ideas and suggestions in a growing international company. #LI-MW1

Essential Responsibilities:• Responsible for the formulation and execution of proposals that capitalize competitive strengths to serve the customer, resulting in execution of definitive sales agreements

• Lead the transactional deal process having the ability to structure creative, commercially and technically sound quality deals and interface with key internal stakeholders as required (Cross-functional and Matrix Organization)

• Provide leadership during the deal review process to ensure that all technical risk points, risk mitigation, and business risk acceptance levels are properly incorporated in the development of the scope, cost and proposal wording

• Ensure compliance of proposal scope with customer’s technical specifications as well as of the commercial aspects of the proposal document (contractual terms and conditions)

• Interface with the EMEA Region Sales team to assist in identifying new opportunities and creating sales analysis for the assigned regions

• Support the Sales team with direct customer negotiations as required

• Lead the proposal process with a passion for simplicity and speed

• Technical validation of customer specifications for public tenders and non-standard quotations

• Responsibility for exciting projects with diverse challenges

Qualifications/Requirements:• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics or Engineering or equivalent knowledge / experience

• Proven experience in sales, sales support, or other relevant commercial roles

• Knowledge of legal aspects and implications of contracts, terms, and conditions, negotiation, etc. to allow constructing contracts with minimized risk

• Ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization

• Interpersonal and leadership skills as well as a collaborative mind-set

• Eloquent oral and written communication skills

• Ability to analyze, resolve problems and to balance creativity with logical thinking

• Established project management skills

• Business fluent in English and German (oral & written) are mandatory

Desired Characteristics:• Masters degree or equivalent

• Lean/Six Sigma certified
