Baker Hughes, a GE company is currently hiring a Senior HR Leader based in Houston, Texas.
The Senior Human Resource Manager (SHRM) will lead a team of Human Resource Managers providing insight and guidance to the team in order to provide an excellent employee experience for the BHGE team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for a defined population of BHGE managers and employees to provide advice, coaching and other day to day client support as required. You will partner directly with the global and regional HR Business Partners to execute on the North America and Global Product Company strategy.
In this role, you will address a broad range of HR fundamentals and employee related questions. As the Senior Human Resource Manager, you will:
Manage, lead and guide a team of Human Resource Managers within a geographic region and where possible, specific product company(s)
Act as an organizational coach to HR Managers in order to build their capabilities, reduce complexity, and partner with their clients to maximize organizational performance
Collaborate with PC and functional HR Leaders and O&TD professionals to execute business-specific HR strategies
Partner with executive leadership to drive employee relations strategies that are unique to the region
Ensure HR leadership team delivers HR training and support for functional processes such as Performance Development, Salary Planning and New Employee Onboarding
Oversee change projects within region such as restructuring, changes to terms and conditions / benefits, organizational changes
Support HR team in the development and execution of the local employee relations strategy, including Union Negotiations, Personnel Relations, for a defined population that spans manufacturing and professional employees
Partner with HR Managers and local leadership to attract, select and retain key talent within region
Ensure that routine and complex employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved across the region to drive and promote a work environment that is in compliance with the Spirit and the Letter
Serve as an additional point of contact on fundamental HR topics, questions and issues for all employees and managers within your region
Manage all complex and escalated cases within the region, partnering with employee relations, legal counsel and the policies team, as well as providing training and support to other team members across your region as needed
Provide dedicated HR Manager support and guidance for a defined population of managers and employees with specific focus on: Employee advocacy / engagement, HR policy / procedure training, employee relations management, performance management, recruitment, compensation, and workplace investigations
Assist with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related discipline from an accredited college or university
Minimum 8 years of relevant Human Resources experience
Experience leading a team of professionals
Master’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline from an accredited college or university
GE HRLP graduate or graduate of a similar program
HR leadership experience at a manufacturing site
HR leadership experience for a field services organization
Enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong internal and external customer service focus, with a genuine desire to assist others
Strong project management and complex problem-solving skills
Strong presentation skills and facilitation experience, needed to effectively deliver a variety of HR-related training programs to groups of managers/colleagues
Ability to interface at all levels of the organization
Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented (especially with regard to effectively managing and documenting employee relations issues and investigations)
Certification with a recognized professional HR organization/institute
