Baker Hughes, a GE company is currently hiring an Accounting Analyst within the Global Accounting team based in Houston, TX.
This role will be responsible for but not limited to the day to day activities related to the gross profit in inventory (GPI) eliminations and global charge-outs as well as special projects as needed. Specific responsibilities will include month end close processes, account reconciliations, journal entry postings and research/resolution of outages due to the intercompany GPI eliminations.
Maintain and execute the GPI elimination program
Research and resolve issues and outages related to the GPI eliminations
Prepare account reconciliations
Prepare and post journal entries
Participate in monthly close process
Assist with monthly/quarterly reporting schedules
Ensure compliance with internal controls and finance policies
Provide support for audit requests
Work closely with managers, FP&A organization and other accounting teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data
Special projects as needed
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of experience in an accounting environment preferred
Knowledge of accounting principles and guidelines
Microsoft Excel knowledge/experience
SAP knowledge/experience is a plus
Excellent attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to multitask
Ability to work independently and on own initiative
Collaborate and work effectively in a team environment
