Job Description Summary

Customer facing staff responsible for winning business.

The role of this position will be to maximize opportunity identification/generation and follow-up with the assigned Key Accounts and the coordination of commercial bidding activities with these Key Accounts through personal Account Management and the leadership of the assigned Account Manager Team in the region of Frankfurt/ Wiesbaden/ Mannheim.

Essential responsibilities:

Selling to named account(s), addition of a new customer is typically rare and usually subject to review process. Include key accounts within a single business group/PL. Leads the development plans for a specific product or product line. Complex products and systems will be used. Cooperates with technical colleagues to answer customer requests and discuss local conditions. Department is involve in the medium sized sales.

  • Grow Grid Solutions business with selected Customer Accounts in a given territory and for a full Grid Solutions product portfolio

  • Established and implement key accounts plans for related accounts in line with Grid Solutions strategy, i.e:

  • Identify the main strategic objectives of the customer and the corresponding solutions from GS

  • Propose a set of strategic actions to develop business and opportunities

  • Set-up a governance for regular follow-up with relevant internal and external business sponsors

  • Assure for each key opportunity the customer internal decision process and stakeholders

  • Established and align internally a winning strategy focusing on differentiation with competition

  • Identify and assess potential partners to create and follow-up specific opportunities (E&c, Civil, Software, Iot, Smart Grids, BESS, etc)

  • Identify potential issues and risks with the Accounts (product spec, terms & conditions, tax) and align internal stakeholders on the mitigation plans

  • Consult internal stakeholders on deal pricing and negotiation strategy

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar technical education

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of a large customer organization

  • Proven working experience as Account Management, Product or Sales Manager, ideally in the German Energy Sector

  • Fluent German and English ( must)

  • Experience in the execution of projects in the German utility sector Welcome

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

  • willingness and availability to travel
