You will be a key member of the Delivery team whose role is to define the strategy to migrate RIS and PACS clinical data between systems, analyze and validate data extraction, execute the migration using tools and produce migration analysis reports.

The role also includes supporting the customer and often 3rd party vendors during the migration project life cycle along with the GE Healthcare Digital Services team and at times, creating specification documentation and developing scripts/tools & testing.

You will support the sale of GE Healthcare Digital solutions to customers by assisting the Sales team with the optimum data migration strategy and estimating the man-power effort needed.

You will also act as an internal coach and provide technical guidance to sub-contractors.

You will work remotely/ home-based and cover DACH but also other customers within Europe. Traveling is very limited as the job is virtual and remote without any customer onsite visits.

Your profile:

  • You bring a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics & Physics or a similar education

  • You bring a proven professional experience working in medical IT systems or data migration experience in any industry

  • You did additional training in IT or experience and understanding in the usage and system administration of medical information technology

  • You have a high affinity for IT products

  • You bring a strong SQL Server Scripting and SQL Server Data Base Administrator (DBA) basic knowledge

  • You have experience in Sybase DBA & Scripting and/or Strong Oracle DBA & Scripting

  • You bring strong experience in SQL/Sybase/Oracle Server Import Tool and Transact SQL

  • You are strong in Scripting Language e.g. VB Scripts and bring basic Shell Scripting

  • You use MS Office applications in daily work

  • You are flexible, strong in communication and presentations.

  • You speak and write German language fluently as well as English

  • Working independently in mission based teams, with a strong problem-solving and decision-making competence is a matter of course for you

Desired Characteristics that can also be trained "on the job" are:

  • Experience working with Healthcare HL7 (ADT, ORM; ORU)and DICOM (C-Store, C-Move, C-Find) standards
