General Electric Commercial Data Analyst in Foxborough, Massachusetts

Job Description Summary

This position will support the development, analysis, and reporting of commercial data to support business objectives. Work in partnership with Commercial, Sales, Finance, HR, PM, & other functions to help drive growth, improve operational efficiency, and provide a data ecosystem capable of supporting problem solving and standard work. Actively participate in the development, execution and tracking of action plans established to address projected gaps and achieve commercial excellence.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Data Management:

  • Develop a robust data environment that encapsulates the full commercial process with the ability to segment the data by BU, region, product type, etc.

  • Identify and remediate data quality issues, partnering with business counterparts to drive MDM and close data quality related process gaps.

  • Work across functions and businesses to deliver self-sustaining, automated insights through report generation.

  • Deliver self-service mechanisms for real time access to fully curated data sets.

Business Analytics:

  • Build & operationalize business analytics for GED, individual BUs, and functional segments.

  • Translate complex data into meaningful, consumable insights with clear intent and call to action.

  • Design and build analytics and forecast models that highlight commercial challenges and opportunities.

  • Provide a high level of service in response to data inquiries and change requests.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent, plus 5 years of relevant experience.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to derive insights from large, complex data sources.

  • Understanding of commercial processes and technologies.

  • Employs influencing skills to work within complex organizational structures.

  • Experience working across multiple functions and global regions

  • Knowledge of operational performance metrics and their use to drive continuous improvements of systems, processes, and resources.

  • Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships, creates processes with customer viewpoint, and consults with customers to help shape their vision.

  • Collaborates well with, and actively incorporates input from various stakeholders.

  • LEAN experience and demonstrated problem solving expertise

  • Communicates in a clear and succinct manner

  • Expert knowledge of Tableau developer with emphasis on UX design

  • Basic knowledge of SQL code a plus
