Job Description Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an EHS & Facilities Leader to support two GE entities - The On Wing Support team based at Heathrow, London & OC Robotics based in Bristol.

As EHS& Facilities Leader, you will be responsible for creating and implementing an EHS strategy, including risk reduction, ergo, compliance, and hazardous waste management. You will also be responsible for managing the facility plant and equipment when not supporting the safety of the team in the shop or at customer locations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure holistic EH&S site and product-level strategy deployment for advanced robotics technology development and fielded-product readiness

  • Partner with New Technology Introduction (NTI), New Product Introduction (NPI), Product Engineers, Project and Program Managers to establish and execute EH&S policies, procedures and protocols at OC robotics to secure personnel and product safety above all else

  • Integrate OC robotics to GE Aerospace standard work and tools for EH&S management protocols

  • Establish and maintain EH&S KPI dashboard with monthly reporting of leading indicators

  • Create strategy for employee engagement in EHS, including frequent interactions with the team about safety

  • Create EHS Framework (FW) strategy and proactively assist FW Element Owners with scoring and implementation.

  • Identify safety issues and work with team to pursues solutions, escalating issues to leadership as required.

  • Drive investigations and read-across activity while partnering with the other sites. Develop and maintain event analysis (incident investigation) process(es).

  • Manage EHS training curriculum and completion.

  • Develop and maintain Management of Change (MOC) process related to EHS & facilities and routinely evaluate the effectiveness of the process.

  • Create and maintain site Hazard Heat Map and supporting Strength of Defense matrices. Update regularly based on event analysis and learnings.

  • Know and identify regulatory requirements and responsibilities, including safeguards, related to EHS and Facilities

  • Actively participate and lead Risk Assessments with cross-functional team

  • Perform site and field level audits and inspections aligned with EHS and Facilities Management Systems

  • Ensure that Chemical Inventory and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are compliant and available to all personnel onsite

  • Act as the site liaison to Security initiatives

  • Review contractor / vendor pre-work and ongoing activities (including maintain ComplyWorks) and support the oversight of Contractor work

Qualifications/Requirements

This role requires advanced experience in the Environmental Health & Safety & Services and Projects. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.

  • Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
