Job Description Summary

The Turbomachinery Mechanical Engineer will report to the turbomachinery design manager and be responsible for the mechanical design, manufacture, and delivery of hardware used in the development testing of the next generation of narrow body jet engines.

Roles and Responsibilities

As the Turbomachinery Mechanical Engineer you will:

  • Work with a closely integrated team of engineers and scientists to design the next generation of jet engine turbomachinery.

  • Work closely with internal and external manufacturing organizations to deliver hardware for rig and full engine testing.

  • Engage in efforts to solve both technical and schedule related problems.

  • Present work to subject matter experts and program leaders at technical reviews.

  • Ensure work is thoroughly documented.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering

  • Previous experience in an aerospace or mechanical engineering.

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
