General Electric Turbine Rear Frame Lead Engineer - Mechanical Component in Evendale, Ohio

Role Summary:GE Aviation is looking for Engineers to join our fast-growing Advanced Military Engineering business. This Lead Engineer posting is for a Turbine Rear Frame (TRF) Design Engineer role within the TMDP LPT / TRF team. The Lead Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute the design and analysis of select components of the TMDP TRF using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements

  • Incorporate evolving best practices for the design of additively-manufactured component

  • Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project

  • Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures

  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments

  • Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues

  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews

  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering position

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance
