GE Aerospace Systems Senior Staff Engineer – Controls/PHM Integration – New Growth Program in Evendale, Ohio

Job Description Summary

The Senior Staff Engineer-Design Integration will be responsible working with systems and design functions to integrate assigned hardware into the propulsion system. Responsibilities will also include working with external customers and stakeholders to communicate program status and integrate the propulsion system into an optimized weapon system.

Job Description

  • The Senior Staff Engineer-Design Integration will provide strategic program direction to design functions and supporting organizations to successfully integrate assigned modules into the propulsion system. The SSE will work closely with external stakeholders to define and interpret technical requirements, communicate program status, key trade studies, development risks, and opportunities for further advancement and optimization. Essential responsibilities:

  • Work with external stakeholders to define, update, and interpret technical requirements.

  • Communicate requirements to design and supporting organizations.

  • Define plans for showing compliance to technical requirements.

  • Collaborate with doing and supporting organizations to demonstrate compliance to technical requirements.

  • Conduct trade studies to optimize propulsion system and integration of the propulsion system into the weapon system.

  • Manage integration risk

  • Define and propose future development efforts. Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sciences required

  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in design or systems engineering.

  • Must be capable of obtaining and holding a US security clearance as a US citizen. Desired Characteristics

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams

  • Customer-facing experience

  • Demonstrated ability to balance conflicting requirements and metrics

  • Experience using EVM to manage programs

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
