General Electric Supplier Delivery Manager - Shared Hardware Team in Evendale, Ohio

Job Description Summary

As part of the SHS Delivery team you will be working alongside other functions within the SHS commodity and the Supply Chain organization to identify material availability issues in advance for a predetermined set of internal customers (engine assembly, customer spares & engine overhaul). You will use the various tools available to survey the health of the supplier's pipeline of finished goods & work-in-process (Material Health); as well as resolving part-specific constraints affecting your internal customers' ability to meet external demand.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Engage with supply chain, CPLC fulfillment, and manufacturing programs to drive critical part delivery.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure short term execution as well as longer term resolution of part-specific constraints.

  • Manage material processes and systems to provide accurate commit signals from the supply base into the business.

  • Survey Material Health Report and Fulfillment Operations Advisor (waterfalls) to identify and resolve material shortages pre-emptively.

  • Communicates program needs clearly and concisely to drive results external source locations

  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.

  • A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor, with proven interpersonal skills. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.

  • Impacts projects, processes and procedures in own field. The role operates with some autonomy, but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Activities require professional judgment, but may require more senior levels of guidance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Operations, Delivery/Fulfillment, Supplier Relations and/or Manufacturing Engineering)

  • 3 Years experience in Operations, Delivery/Fulfillment, Supplier Relations and/or Manufacturing Engineering.
