Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

As the Sub-Section Manager for the Controls Hardware Sub-Section Manager you will:

  • Be responsible for team management and structure in component and system design in Controls hardware

  • Facilitate the design and layout of Controls hardware and systems on multiple advanced technology projects

  • Support and drive strategic alignment across the hardware section in the areas of process and personnel development

  • Drive implementation of lessons learned, lean principles, prioritization, and daily management efforts across all projects and products

  • Integrate with Controls IPT leader to ensure alignment with program and project priority, inclusive of personnel planning

  • Be responsible for personnel performance appraisals, compensation planning, and regular personnel touchpoints

  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience

  • Align resources and teams to support program deliverables

  • Use judgement to make decisions or solve complex tasks or problems in the areas of operational / program management, technology, or engineering

  • Drive change, where necessary, to improve the overall execution and experience of team members

  • Drive collaboration across all teams to leverage technology initiatives and projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

  • Established project management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive the team to a common goal

  • Background in Controls hardware
