General Electric Strategy analyst – Sustainability and Fuels in Evendale, Ohio
Job Description Summary
Sustainability and sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) is a growing focus area for Aviation. This analyst will be part of a new team focused to shape the direction and strategy of SAF for GE. The analyst will be responsible for researching, identifying trends, and analyzing emerging sustainable fuel technologies that can strategically position GE’s product strategy and technology roadmap.
Roles and Responsibilities
Build understanding on roles and interactions of sustainable fuel and the aviation industry
Educate key internal stakeholders on industry landscape sustainable fuels
Evaluating/assessing and shaping strategic direction of SAF partnerships, collaborations, and businesses for Aviation.
Connect the organization to the latest SAF developments and trendsWork with product development teams to create new offerings and enhance existing products
Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

Bachelor’s degree in economics, chemistry, engineering, or a similar discipline with 6+ years of relevant industry or research experience. --OR-- An advanced degree in in economics, chemistry, engineering, or a similar discipline with 3+ years of relevant industry or research experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
Industry experience conducting research or market analysis in the energy transitions sector
Demonstrated industry experience in SAF value chain
Knowledge of energy commodity markets, strong research and analytical skills, and an innovative approach to solving complex problems.
Ability to think critically, act decisively, and deliver results.
Strong team player able to collaborate across multi-cultural teams, commodities and geographies
Self-motivated and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Global mindset & customer focus
