General Electric Staff Technical Product Manager in Evendale, Ohio

Role Summary:

As part of GE Aviation (GEA), Staff Technical Product Manager, Design Guidance will be responsible for the end-to-end life-cycle servicing as Product Owner over a suite of tools in the Design Guidance space, which is a key product in the Engineering Product category. This role work with the Engineering Product Owner, and will lead a team of teams to develop and execute a cohesive product vision and portfolio simplification.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute product vision and roadmap for Design Guidance products (including Design Record Book, Design Practice, and Design Review), as a component of the Engineering Product in Digital Thread Engineer (DTE) platform

  • Design Guidance products simplification and contemporization, while partnering with the Design Guidance business owners

  • Develop and execute product launch & transition plan, ultimaltey sunsetting the existing Design Guidance products

  • Understand and set priorities continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer needs and associated outcomes in the Engineering Product space

  • Drive cultural transformation within the team and into the function

  • Understand personas and the importance of UX design in product development, for consistency with Engineering products and the DTE platform

  • Partner with DT and functional stakeholders to help define and align Design Guidance product strategy to business needs

  • Ensure operational excellence of Design Guidance products, including outcomes, velocity, voice of customer, cost, etc.

  • Stay current with market trends, enabling technologies, and business digital strategy

  • Collaborate with the Engineering Product Owner to manage resource allocation and budget

  • Manage risk and dependencies between organizations, and identify integration points between Engineering products

  • Provide strategic inputs into S2 and other business activities

  • Provide coaching, feedback, developmental opportunities, etc. to indirect reports within a team of teams Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT and/ or Digital TechnologyEligibility Requirements

  • Experience and expertise of the Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

  • Proficiency with various agile and collaboration tools like Rally, Aha, Confluence.

  • Experience with web application project development, with basic understanding of web and DB architecture, application documentation, execution of manual and automated testing.Business Acumen:
