General Electric Staff Technical Product Manager in Evendale, Ohio

Role Summary:

This role will be responsible for developing and/or implementing software applications for the Engine Test Systems product category. You will work with engineering community to modernize tools used to manage the Aviation Test Process (ATP). This includes a broad set of functionality spanning planning, requirements management, engine instrumentation design, manufacturing, materials management, test cell configurations, and integrations with data acquisition systems and other ETS products.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with Product Owner to refine detailed requirements & set the product vision

  • Be responsible for providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment

  • Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards

  • Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse

  • Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities

  • Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products

  • Communicate effectively both within immediate team and across leadership teams

  • Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge

  • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

  • Understand performance parameters and assess application performance

  • Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness

  • Will challenge the status quo and advocate for Digital Transformation

  • Desire and ability to roll up sleeves and dig into technical aspects of the products Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in ITEligibility Requirement
