General Electric Staff Lifecycle Operations Engineer in Evendale, Ohio
Responsible for leading information operations projects with team members. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to plan and produce high-quality content. Manages the application health of the Engineering Application Portfolio.
As part of GE Aviation Digital Technology (GEAvDT), supporting the Engineering Division, the Staff Lifecycle Operations Engineer, will be responsible for the overall health of the applications in the Engineering portfolio. This role will engage with other Operations team members and a contracted workforce to maintain and improve the health of the Engineering Applications. This role must create strong working relationships across the GEAvDT-Engineering CIO team, the GEAvDT-Engineering Product teams, and the GE Digital -Coretech teams. This role will look horizontally across the portfolio of applications and work with the vertical application owners to ensure applications are fine tuned to perform at the highest level possible. This role will also manage projects aimed to improve the overall health of the applications. Projects include, but are not limited to, application enhancements that have proven business benefits, significant compliance requirements/changes, version upgrades, as well as Operating Systems and Database Upgrades. As the Portfolio Manager, the role will also be responsible to keep the application information in the Service Now – Configuration Management Database (CMDB) properly updated for the Engineering portfolio. Additionally this role will be responsible for establishing and improving application monitoring to ensure proactive responses to system performance and availability concerns.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT, including at least 3 years in Application Operations
