Job Description Summary
This Technical Leader drives business development and external pursuits for the commercial Advanced Technology Organization (ATO), and demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. This includes coordination cross-functionally with the military team of Edison Works and the European / American External Funding Teams on efforts and to improve the external pursuit process.
In this Technical Leader, you will integrate and develop opportunities that meet business and customer needs, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Develop and execute strategic engagement plans for key government (NASA) customers to ensure strong relationships within the ATO community
Monitor customer technology direction and significant developments and communicate internally as appropriate
Provide leadership and direction for assigned platform roadmap development
Provide support council and recommendations to Engineering and Project leadership and the ATO Systems teams
Work collaboratively with other business development leaders to establish work group goals within framework of technical and financial objectives
Facilitate communication of technical and business information between GE organizations and within work group
Coordinate with the ATO GM to identify and develop funding opportunities and position GE for success
Communicate with leadership on technical, organizational, resource and personnel requirements
Support contract flow-down process to ensure successful program launch
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Aerospace/Materials), Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
5 years of experience in a customer-facing program or project leadership role within an engineering environment
Ability to work with the US Government
