General Electric Sourcing Commercial Operations Deal Partner in Evendale, Ohio

Job Description Summary

The Sourcing Comm Ops Deal Partner will provide horizontal leadership of Sourcing Commercial Operations processes including Deal Review, Supplier Risk Committee (SRC) and SRCG-1008 policy elements. They will work to implement improvements to the Sourcing Commercial Ops process and partner with specific commodity commercial teams to enable the best outcomes for GE by supporting a proactive supplier negotiation strategy, deal pipeline management and deal review preparation.

This role is based in Evendale, OH and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Horizontal leadership of Sourcing Commercial Ops processes including Deal Review, Supplier Risk Committee (SRC) and SRCG-1008 policy. Ensure compliance to Sourcing SRCG-1008 policy. Partner with Sourcing Compliance, Legal and Finance to assess risks and revise the SRCG-1008 triggers as necessary

  • Implement improvements to the Sourcing Commercial Ops process including updates to the Deal Review template and standard work

  • Partner with specific commodity commercial teams to enable the best total value for GE by supporting a proactive supplier negotiation strategy, deal pipeline management and deal review preparation.

  • Ensure commodity commercial teams have visibility to supplier contract landscape and drive adherence to standard deal lead times

  • Proactively engage cross function product line and cross commodity teams to enable deal support and alignment to product line priorities

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years experience in Commercial Operations, Sourcing/Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Sales, Supply Chain, or Contract Management roles)

  • A minimum of 5 years in Commercial Operations, Sourcing/Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Sales, Supply Chain, or Contract Management roles
