General Electric Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Evendale, Ohio

Job Description Summary

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the development of strategic technology road maps to meet customer needs on a variety of products. This will include all CMC component level processes from receiving material through final shipment. The expectation is that the road maps will provide a path to meet component production rates and cost through targeted development and technology application.

Essential Responsibilities :

This role will be responsible for the coordination, execution and documentation of producibility review process and requirements , including developing part family specific tolerancing, dimensioning and process best practices for future products and design changes. This will enable robust day 1 designs that will allow for manufacturing success. Expectation once established is a 2X a year update to the templates and requirements that will be shared in the CMC design board.

Qualifications/Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.

  • Minimum of 5 additional years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist.

Desired Characteristics :

  • Working with and mentoring the AVL manufacturing team to promote best practices, technical excellence and process stability.

  • May be called upon to help solve critical technical and operational problems as demanded by business needs.

  • Expected to be able to share projects, statuses and plans directly with senior leadership and work cross functionally with MPE, Design, Shops and Lean Labs as needed.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Established project management skills.
